Pressemeldung: C-YACHT goes green

C-Yacht is developing a more sustainable business model

C-YACHT goes green

December 7th 2010- C-Yacht is one of the first Dutch yacht builders to use a more sustainable business model to innovate their new C-Yacht 10.50 has a reduced impact on the environment.  As a result of innovative vinylester and vacuum injection techniques and a deck that is made of Esthec instead of teak wood, C-Yacht managed to significantly reduce its impact on the environment. Esthec is a user-friendly and low-maintenance synthetic replacement for teak wood, made by Bolidt. The C-Yacht 10.50 will be presented in January 2011 at the famous German boatshow ‘Boot Düsseldorf’.

Jan Muller, CEO of Zaadnoordijk Yachtbuilders that builds C-Yachts: “In search for sustainable building, our choice for Esthec is a logic choice. More and more clients ask for alternatives of teak wood, without losing the typical looks of teak wood. Esthec is the answer to this.”

As the Zaadnoordijk shipyard has extensive experience with Esthec, the decision to use it for the new C-Yacht 10.50 was easily made. As sustainability is of increasing importance to C-Yachts as well as its clients, the C-Yachts explores all possible ways to build its yachts with a lower impact on the environment. The Esthec deck is easily applicable to other models of C-Yacht as well.

C-Yacht since many years builds ships in the superior segment. The yachts are characterised by high quality materials and finishing with great sailing properties and are the Dutch answer to Scandinavian yacht builders. The yachts are easy to handle and come with a high level of comfort.

C-Yacht’s first ship with an esthec deck will be presented January 20th-30th on the largest boat show in Europe, Boot Düsseldorf. Booth number 16A42.2. The C-Yacht 10.50 will be accompanied by her bigger sister, the C-Yacht 12.50.
